HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE FOURTH TRIMESTER?

The benefits and work of a doula do not end at delivery. The first 3 months after delivery, also infamously known as the fourth trimester, is a delicate time filled with excitement and questions about first-times. As your doula, I am there to help empower you to feel good, happy and confident assuming your new role as a mother.

FREE CONSULTATION

I will meet you in your home or a local coffee shop nearby; whatever is most comfortable or convenient for you. This is usually an hour long getting to know each other session to see if we are a good match for you as your support person. Feel free to also ask any questions you have about doulas and what we can/will do specifically for you.

AS YOUR DOULA, I WILL:

  • Provide personal, attentive care and up to date information during your prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods

  • Provide emotional support, reassurance and perspective to you and your partner

  • Make suggestions for labor progress, help with relaxation, massage, positioning, visualization, and pain-coping techniques for comfort

SERVICE AREA

Whether you are having a planned home birth, hospital birth, or birth center birth, I will travel 20 miles from the center of Austin, TX.

BACK-UP

It is extremely rare that I would miss a birth--but it can happen. The most common reason is because your doula is already at a birth. Other reasons include an illness of either the doula or her child. If I am unable to come to a birth, you will still have my back up attend your birth. We all share the same philosophy of supporting you and your birth wishes.

Why should I use a
Babycare ELLE TENS machines?

User feedback has shown that a Babycare TENS machine is most effective during the first stage of labour and helps the mother to remain in control, stay alert and considerably reduce drug intake.

Most importantly, there are no known side effects for mother or baby.

I support women and their families in the choices they make, while providing informational support, and working to maintain the sanctity of the birth space as originally intended.

As your Doula, I am working for you;

not your caregiver or hospital.

I do not have a preconceived idea of how I think your birth should be - my role and goal is to support you in achieving the birth experience YOU desire.

DID YOU KNOW?

Most newborns do not sleep through the night until 3 months of age.

A wet diaper, a hungry or upset tummy, and wanting to cuddle are the top reasons they wake.

A night nanny is there to ensure

you and baby can get a full night's sleep.
